Hai Some feedbacks:

1. Add a link in your website ilke:

"spread the word" or "Invite friends" which will send a small message saying "I really like this initiative so you also join this and save enviornment and money"

2. Try getting patent on this idea or in atleast apply for Limca/Guisness this will give free publicity also.

3. Try to make a map with major bus stops as the landmarks for pick up and drops, for more denser area's you can go into finer details like some shop name, or a park etc.

4. Many times people don't know the shortcuts so you put or encourage people to inform the shortcuts

5. Open a discussion board, in which non-orkuters can also join and participate, share their experiences etc.

Wish this as a grand success and it gets spread across all cities of India, especially INDORE, which is fast becoming most developed city of India.

Good Work, keep it up.

Hi!!
I think this idea of Car Pooling is 'simply superb'.... but you dont facilitate people outside bangalore region.
If someone starts a route in Noida-Gurgaon-Delhi region...it would be more than appreciated.
Thanx!!

Hey buddy,

great effort.

Here's a thought... as of today commuteeasy does not help you create car pool exclusive for car owners... would be great if you can add a category for this... so that it gets implied that cars are used in rotation!

Good Luck

Few more suggetions

6. Tie-Up with some Call-Taxi service which has good circle in bangalore, tell them about the concept of commute easy, this will help in getting the bulk booking for them and for commuters they can hire the taxi at a lower proce then going on for a non "commute-easy" authorized person.

This can also reduce the burden on some employees as the money per head will be decided by them. It is like outsourcing the money calculation work to them, atleast I think it can be a gr8 idea or I would say a big business concept, for starting off someone's own business.
It will be more like a public sharing system, with the Taxi coming at your door-step,

Hai you all software public write a efficient alogirthm to implement this.

Seems like the small seed is getting transplanted into a big tree, which can give shelter all the commuters from the heat of money.

I think the idea of adding the call-taxi service looks viable and also beneficial. This should be planned well, recently I came through an article on seventymm.com, they are coming up with the concept of renting DVD's, you can find more details on their website, I liked their concept, I gave that example here to just emphasis that if the network is good things work pretty well.

See the famous example of Dibbawallah's in Mumbai. Biggest wonder is they achieved all this without even internet.

From enterperpenur's this seems like a really profitable concept, they will really earn good if they plan the network well, and also use the internet technology to reduce costs.

Let's take a test case:
In Indira Nagar there might be atleast 1000 techies staying, out of which only 200 will use this service initially out of which let's assume 10 of them have same destination (divide bangalore in 20 parts and consider regions within 1km circle as same). Some let's say in worst case 3 cab's are required, ok and assume the average distance is 10km, with the contracted rate of 10Rs/km with each full cab. So for 10km ride it can take at max 100 Rs. now divide it in 3 people, it comes out to be Rs. 33. Definately its cheaper then Car drive with an milage of Rs. 100 (Rs. 10 per km. including the maintainance cost), with a car like drive. For Bike riders it might be little expensive, but I think in long runs they will also start prefering this service, when they get the service at your door-step, and no-drive tension, you can utilize that time reading the company docoument, or read newspaper etc. Lot of bike guys like to go in cars, but can't go due to money, so this can also attract them.

I think it can work well. The features of this services will be :

1. Door-stop service
2. Internet based 15min before travel (in case of ir-regular timings),
3. Monthly billing
4. Hassle free drive
4. Enviornment friendly
5. Timing utilizing facility
6. Interactions with different kinds of people.
7. There can be special serivces for ladies, and also combined.
8. Definately money saving for regular car-riders, and little expensive but the above features should definately conter the money.
9. Peace of life.
10. More time to family.

So let's work out a stratergy to make this work, I am ready to invest my hard earned bucks in this scheme, and I think some Venture Capitilist's can also invest in this cause, rather then initially buying the cab's we can hire a cab-service, I think this will become a organized sector in the time to come, as retail is seeing the revolution curretly, so lets be early starters in that donmain and chip-in the full advantage out of it before someone explores it even.
I know it will require some extra hard-work, will also require some manegerial and business skills, but one has go through this phase, to make things different.

So please inform me if you or someone reading this out is intrested in this plan.

anonymous 1:

We have already contacted the president of city taxis in Bangalore, Mr Prabhakar.
He was quite interested in this proposal and has agreed to provide the cabs. However he says he will not be able to provide this at a reduced cost. The cost now is 12Rs/km

We arent sure how many would be interested at this price. But we are still looking into this seriously.

anonymous 2: Thata a fabulous suggestion. We actually explored the idea a few weeks back, but had a couple of issues. Please pass on your phone no and i will explain them to you and we can discuss this further. It could be actually worked out.
You have really thought it out quite well.

do mail the no to me at admin@commuteeasy.com

Hi ,
This idea of pooling is great. But please look into that such facilities are given to those people who travel early in the morning and staying in not much renowned areas, where one has to walk quite a lot of distance to get a transport.
